Shalom Media Launches New SW Prayer Channel


 

Shalom Media is launching an interactive TV network 100% devoted to prayer, for the uplift of the Church and world. SW Prayer Channel, the “Catholic Companion to Eternity,” will officially start airing September 14, 2020, with LIVE English-language programs feeding in from different resources and nations across the globe. SWPrayer is the 4th channel of Shalom World

 

This new, 24/7, free channel extends spiritual uplift to the sick and homebound, and to those suffering emotional or physical distress. It accompanies older or chronically ill viewers to their final journey home. The channel also provides a rich resource to those blocked from attending Mass, the sacraments and prayer gatherings, due to personal crises, natural disaster or pandemic.

 

Scripture invites us to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thes 5:16-18).

 

In this spirit, SW Prayer Channel will launch with LIVE programs, and soon offer a full schedule of other pre-recorded fare, including:

*Holy Mass and Eucharistic Adoration broadcast LIVE six times daily, from parishes across the globe.

*Divine Mercy Chaplet and Divine Office broadcast LIVE twice-daily.

*Rosary broadcast LIVE four times daily.

*Lectio Divina: Readings and praying of Holy Scripture

*Devotions such as novenas and prayers of consecration.

*Psalter: the musical sharing of Psalms.

*Saints’ lives and prayers.

*Thought for the Day, with inspiring reflections and practical guidance for life’s journey.

*Retreat and prayer sessions, on topics such as repentance and healing.

 

Encouraging hope, healing, and reconciliation viewers are invited to send prayer intentions to be lifted up during the next LIVE broadcast.
