MOST REVEREND BISHOP DENIS NULTY

Bishop Denis Nulty is Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin Diocese, the fifth largest Diocese in Ireland. This is his first appointment since his Episcopal Ordination in 2013. Bishop Nulty hails from Slane in Co. Meath, where St. Patrick lit the Paschal fire in 432 AD. He is the president of ACCORD, an agency of the Irish Episcopal Conference, which supports Marriage and the Family. He also serves on the Standing Committee of the Irish Episcopal Conference, the Commission for Pastoral Care, the Council for Marriage and the Family and the Council for Clergy. Bishop Nulty is a Board member of the Ninth World Meeting of Families. Today, while vocation to the priesthood is on a decline, he believes that the programs aired on Shalom World TV certainly will contribute much to keep alive the strong religious tradition in Ireland.
