Shalom World, a high definition Catholic TV network that offers quality family programs to enrich and evangelize, is celebrating its 5th Anniversary on April 27.
Shalom World plans to roll out more original programs in the coming year and the impressive program line up of popular shows are rapidly earning a name for the network amongst its viewers — an estimated 2.4 million households worldwide. It will also release many new programs appealing to youth and children, says Santo Thomas, CEO of Shalom Media USA.
“A fresh approach is needed to combat radical trends of materialism,” noted Thomas, and “to turn the hearts, minds, and souls of children toward a heavenly perspective.”
Launched in North America on April 27, Divine Mercy Sunday, 2014, Shalom World’s inaugural program was the live telecast from the Vatican, the canonization of Popes John Paul II and John XXIII. The commercial-free channel has seen an astounding growth across the United States, Canada and beyond ever since — with production centers opening in Chicago, Toronto, Sydney, Brisbane, Portlaoise (Ireland), Sheffield (UK), the Vatican and Singapore.
Watershed events include live telecasts of Papal audience from Rome, Apostolic Journey, concerts and conferences. Shalom World partnered with Archdiocese of Panama to bring World Youth Day Panama, 2019 to a worldwide audience. The launch of Shalom World News bytes that offer a uniquely faithful approach to trending news was yet another feat. The production and release of hundreds of TV programs that cover a wide range of topics and interests are intended to be virtue building among the young and the old.
Shalom World is available on OTT platforms, most Smart TVs, IOS and Android devices.
